Professional Brochure Paper Options...
 

Creating in-house brochures can be a flexible and money-saving solution, replacing the need for a professional printing service. A critical step in that process can be the correct choice of a brochure paper.  The following article discusses un-scored brochure paper options. 

Glossy Brochure Paper:

The most sought after brochure paper for laser and color laser printers is a two-sided glossy paper with a high-quality magazine-like appearance which folds well.  We recommend 32 lb. weight glossy brochure paper designed for color laser printers.  Why?  Coated papers designed for color laser printers have a higher resistance to heat (while being printed) which prevents wrinkling and distortion of the paper and of the printed image.  This type of paper will last longer and look better.

For inkjet owners, the comparable choice is HP Brochure & Flyer Paper.  It is a proven, professional-looking paper for creating brochures on inkjet printers. Availability from Graytex includes letter, legal, and 11 x 17 paper sizes.

Uncoated, Heavy-weight Brochure Paper

Strictly informative brochures on uncoated papers is a cost-effective practical solution.  Papers with a smooth finish and correct moisture content provide increased print quality and reliability during your printer's operation. Refer to the various weights of bright white inkjet or laser papers.


Soft-Gloss Brochure Paper for Laser and Color Laser Printers

Advertising brochures will benefit from soft-gloss papers which provide enhanced color intensity and detail accuracy for images, diagrams, and crisper text. The appearance compared to uncoated papers is dramatic.

Soft Gloss, Heavy-Weight (58 lb.) 
Available in 8.5" x 11", 11" x 17", and 12" x 18", the 58 lb. Soft Gloss is a thicker sheet, eliminating the possibility of show-through and providing a more substantial feel to your brochures.
 

Matte Brochure Paper for Inkjet Printers:

An affordable presentation paper that enhances the appearance of colors and provides high resolution accuracy for crisp, black text and details.  This is an appropriate choice to create an eye-popping difference compared to uncoated papers. See matte papers, available in all sizes.

Gloss Brochure Paper

This is the optimum choice for advertising brochures when you want to make a grand impression.  Ideal for full-color images, presenting a shiny, professionally-printed appearance.

Laser Gloss (un-scored)
For an appearance similar to the pages in a high-quality magazine, Laser Gloss is available in a thinner and heavier weight, 32 lb. and 58 lb.  It is one of the few two-sided laser gloss papers available which is also ideal for color laser printers because it can withstand the intense heat conditions of those machines (i.e. coating will not melt and print-quality is not diminished).

HP Brochure and Flyer Paper (un-scored)
For inkjet printers, this two-sided gloss paper also provides a professional, magazine-like appearance.  This is a one-of-a-kind paper among inkjet brochure papers.  No other comparable papers exist that we know of from other manufacturers. It is an exceptional paper for creating gloss brochures.
